Revolutionary high-end, single use, self-propelled endoscopes
Enjoy the benefits of all worlds
Consis Medical is an early-stage medical device company, devoted for the development of novel, single-use and self-propelled endoscopes. The company's first product offers the next-generation solution for colonoscopies, which until today have been uncomfortable and often painful procedures. The novel technology in the Consis colonoscopy system enables colorectal professionals to perform examinations in a much more pleasant manner, while providing the clinic with a simple and cost-effective setup.

Colon Cancer
In spite of recent technological advances, conventional colonoscopy solutions
still suffer from major drawbacks.
Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the second most lethal cancer. Over 120,000 new cases are diagnosed on an annual basis in the US alone. Screening for colorectal cancer has been shown to be highly effective in the prevention and treatment of CRC. It is therefore recommended that all adults aged 50 to 75 are regularly screened for colorectal cancer.
Gastrointestinal endoscopy is one of the most widely performed medical procedures in the world, making the US and EU gastrointestinal endoscopic market to grow over $4.4 billion by 2020. By 2020, over 75 million gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures will be performed in the U.S. and Europe combined, annually. The majority of these procedures are colon cancer screenings.
However, in spite of recent technological advances, conventional colonoscopy solutions still suffer from major drawbacks.
Fear of infection is chief concern: Cleaning and sterilization procedures for colonoscopy devices are difficult and costly due to the device’s length and narrow cavities.
Recent cases of clinic-acquired infections are making the sterilization demands more stringent every year, translating into increased costs for clinics who must own several expensive devices in order to remain operational at all times while maintaining sterilization cycles. The sterilization machines and reagents are expensive, in some cases costing even more than the colonoscopes.
Colonoscopy is still considered the most expensive screening test for healthy Americans. The market needs a safer, cost-effective device that will provide quality diagnosis while reducing the related operational costs, including sedation and sterilization-related expenditure.
Disposable endoscopes are still inadequate due to the inevitable trade-off between cost and quality, and the undesired compromise on detection abilities.
Consis Medical’s new technology represents a paradigm shift that simplifies the entire operational cycle without compromising clinical quality.
Mission
To improve colonoscopy procedures and patient outcomes by providing a safer, faster, more cost-effective solution for colonoscopies.
With our semi-disposable colonoscope solution, medical teams no longer need to compromise between diagnostic quality, safety and cost-efficiency.
By making procedures faster and eliminating the need for sedation & sedation-related expenses (drugs, related insurance, additional beds & room for recovery), we make it easier for clinics to meet the increasing demand for affordable colonoscopies, and boost their ongoing revenue & profit.
At Consis Medical we believe in making colonoscopies better for everyone: clinics, medical teams and patients.
